Born in Mexico City in 1951. He studied Graphic Communication and Visual Arts at the ENAP from 1971 to 1978. From 1978 to 1979 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy. During this same period he collaborated as an illustrator in various cultural and educational publications. From 1982 to 1987 he was a teacher of Visual Experimentation at the National School of Plastic Arts of the UNAM. In 1996 he participated in the resident exchange program in New York, USA. He is a member of the National System of Art Creators (SNCA) and participates in urban art projects such as “Elements” in the Collective Transportation System (STC).

His work focuses on the search of the form, the essence, the organic, to use different languages to create his own. The form is an element that unifies and at the same time delimits. He currently works in painting, sculpture and graphics.
