Gilberto Aceves Navarro (México City, 1931). Has participated in more than 300 collective exhibitions in México and around the world. With 145 individual exhibits tha include Museo de Arte Moderno (Mexico, D.F), Promoción de las Artes,(Monterrey, NL 1981), Instituto Cultural Cabañas (GDL, Jalisco 1994), Museo de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público and the Antiguo Palacio del Arzobispado (México, D.F). In 2001 Museo Universitario del Chopo pays tribute to his 70 years of life and presents the exhibit Don Felipe II y La Armada Invencible in San Antonio (Tx), Washington, Montreal, Hannover, Hamburgo, Alemania, at the Museo del Rayo (Roldadillo, Colombia) and Sagacho Exhibit Space (Tokio).

His work can be found in museums, cultural spaces and private collections around the world. He has an outstanding mural work and has created groups of ephemeral, monumental sculpture, as well as plastic design works (scenery, lighting and costumes) for theatre plays. In 2011 the La Conquista Exhibition was held at the Exim Gallery in Guadalajara and in 2014 the exhibition “Las Bicicletas” was inaugurated in Brooklyn, New York.
