Vicente Rojo (Barcelona 1932). He lives in Mexico since 1949, where he has done important work both in the field of graphic design and painting. He entered the National College in 1994 and in 1998 he received an honorary doctorate from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His first individual exhibition is around the time of his first series “Señales”, where he works with simple shapes such as triangles and circles. This series was followed by “Negaciones”, “Recuerdos” and “México bajo la lluvia”, a series that began in the 1980s. “Escenarios” is the series that has been done in the nineties and is made up of sub-series such as “Paseo de San Juan”, “Pyramids and volcanoes”, “Open codices” and “Hidden codices and mirrors”, to which it belongs his exhibition “Escenarios secretos”, presented at the Galería López Quiroga in 1999.
